ATTENTION:
After consultation with the Board of Directors, we need to update you on the condition of the Olive trees on the West side of the Clubhouse around the stairs and the North dry river rock bed area. It has been determined that the trees are diseased and cannot be saved. The longer we keep them, the more the disease spreads to adjacent plants and trees. There is no way to control or eliminate the disease.
We have attached photos. A document that explains the disease and the action needed to be taken will be available on the website, printed copies will be available in Clubhouse lobby. There is no “cure” and it is recommended to remove the trees as soon as possible. At this time, we are talking about a total of seven (7) trees in this area. This tree removal will occur on Wednesday, August 21.
It is my intention to work with the Landscape Committee to investigate and get recommendations on disease resistant plants and trees that we can use to replace those lost.
Unfortunately, we will need to deal with the disease issue for some time. As you look around the Resort, you will see many other Olive trees are affected, including the golf course.
